Making University Deposits Classroom This course covers the high-level concepts and ConnectCarolina tasks necessary to process incoming payments at the department or school level. Yes
Making University Deposits for Accounts Receivable and Billing Users Classroom This course covers the high-level concepts and ConnectCarolina tasks necessary to process incoming payments for customers that have been invoiced using the ConnectCarolina system. Yes
Managing Budgets & Creating Budget Journals Classroom This course gives an introduction to how budgeting works in ConnectCarolina and shows how to create budget journals and budget transfers. It also explains how to budget pre-check transactions (such as purchase requests), and how to resolve budget errors. Yes
Accounts Receivable/Billing for Units Other than Sponsored Research Classroom This course covers accounts receivable and billing for units other than the Office of Sponsored Research. (Only a few units will use ConnectCarolina AR/Billing at Go Live.) Yes
Administering Approval Workflow and Approvers Classroom This short course explains the general workflow for approvals, and how to assign approvers and specify which types of transactions require approval. Yes
Finance Train-the-Trainer Course Classroom This course provides campus instructors with training delivery skills and tools to teach: • Ordering and receiving goods or services that require a purchase order • Using campus vouchers to pay vendors (SOP documents, check requests) • Requesting new vendors (formerly done in WebVendor) • Making salary source changes • Making journal entries No
Creating Campus Vouchers (replaces check requests, SOP documents, and InDEPTh payment requests) Classroom – Campus Trainer Delivered This course explains how to create, maintain and monitor campus vouchers which are used to pay invoices. Campus vouchers replace check requests, SOP documents and InDEPTh payment requests. Yes
Creating Journal Entries Classroom – Campus Trainer Delivered This course, which is taught by campus trainers, provides an overview of the campus journal process, demonstrates how to create journal entries and correcting journal entries according to the transaction type, explains how to identify and resolve journal edit and budget checking errors, and how to monitor journal status. Creating Purchase Requisitions and Receiving Classroom – Campus Trainer Delivered This course explains how to create a requisition for goods or services that require a purchase order. Topics include entering commodity codes, charging one or more lines to different chartfields, submitting a requisition for approval, using the Manage Requisition page to work with existing requisitions, the approval process, and receiving. Requesting New Vendors and Vendor Changes (Replaces Web Vendor) Classroom – Campus Trainer Delivered This course covers the processes and tasks necessary to request a new vendor, or to request changes to existing vendors. Yes
Making Salary Source Changes Classroom – Campus Trainer Delivered This course teaches how to use the Add / Update Fund Source ePAR form to change funding for faculty and staff. Yes

Chartfields 101 Computer-based training This self-paced course explains the chartfield structure in ConnectCarolina, including a thorough description and examples of each chartfield. The course also includes a knowledge check that covers the definitions of the chartfields essential to all finance transactions. No
Requesting New Chartfield Values Computer-based training This self-paced course covers how to request new chartfield values or changes to existing values. No
Ordering from the ePro Vendor Catalogs Computer-based training This self-paced course complements the ePro webinar, and explains how to order from the catalogs available in ePro, such as Staples and Fisher Scientific. The new ordering process is very similar to the current one, but the look and feel of ePro is changing. No

Working with P-Card Transactions Computer-based training This self-paced course covers how to use the P-Card system to add line level detail to P-Card transactions, and how to submit them for approval. It also covers exporting transactions to Excel and viewing default information. No
Approving P-Card Transactions Computer-based training This self-paced course covers how approvers can use the P-Card system to modify existing line level detail and charge a transaction to a different chartfield string besides the card’s default string. It also covers how to approve, reject, and save transactions on the approvals tab. No
