Principal Investigator (PI) Dashboard Coming in September!
Have you heard that a redesigned PI Dashboard is rolling out in September? Based on feedback and requests from principal investigators across campus, the new dashboard provides a snapshot of grant funding and expenses, including salary projections at both the award level and the project level. The information on the dashboard is pulled directly from ConnectCarolina and RAMSeS.
Jackie Treschl, Senior Training and Documentation Analyst and Chris Minter, Instructional Designer, were on hand at the 2017 UNC Symposium for Research Administrators on August 3rd to give research administrators and PIs a sneak peek at the dashboard.
“Dashboard Wins” for Principal Investigators and Research Administrators
- PIs will have direct access to information about their sponsored projects.
- Research administrators and other financial support staff will be able to see the same view as the PIs they support (their InfoPorte administrators can give them access).
- Salary projections accurately reflect employee funding information in ConnectCarolina.
- OSR will see the same view that PIs and research administrators see, making it easier to troubleshoot questions.
