BuyCarolina, a new purchasing solution that is coming to the University in mid-August, will improve the University’s purchasing power as well as the end-user experience. This new cloud-based solution replaces the current ConnectCarolina eProcurement system. It will allow purchasers to comparison shop across the majority of suppliers and make smarter purchasing decisions without having to search each supplier separately.
The new software is licensed based, and we have a limited number of licenses. In order to provide licenses for necessary users, we are removing access from anyone who hasn’t placed an order in the past fiscal year. Since you haven’t placed an order in the past year, your access will be removed on July 27, 2020. If you currently have access to use the Inquiry options in ConnectCarolina, you’ll keep the ability to review requisitions placed by others.
If you find in the future that you have a need to place orders, you can request the Vendor Catalog role through the access request process.
