The new Position Funding form will go live the evening of Thursday, Oct. 10. This new form will replace the current Fund Swap ePAR.
Increased Visibility of an Employee’s Funding
The new Position Funding form will show all of an employee’s positions and funding information on the same form. This new form will be especially helpful when making changes for research-funded employees whose effort and/or cost-share is considered across all positions.
Streamlined Approval Path
With the implementation of the new form on Oct. 10, the approval path will also change. Only budget approvers must approve this form; HR and Student approvers will no longer be part of the approval path.
Fund Swaps in Process
Fund swaps submitted on or before Oct. 10 will continue to route, be approved and post as normal and do not need to be resubmitted in the new Position Funding form. If you need to make updates to a fund swap that is not yet approved, you can still do that using the Evaluate an Epar link. You will not be able to start new fund swaps after the evening of October 10, you will need to use the Position Funding form to make changes to an employee’s funding.
