Planned ConnectCarolina Weekend Outage November 2-3, 2024

When you login to ConnectCarolina on Monday, November 4, you’ll notice a few changes, and an updated color scheme and background.  You may notice that the new color scheme is applied to the log in screen, system header, and icons.  You’ll also notice changes with page tabs, slider buttons, and toggle buttons. The overall functionality has not changed.

 

  • The quick access bar buttons are now located on the banner and provide one-click access to your Recently Visited and Favorites items.​
  • The Recently Visited and Favorites items are still available on the NavBar as well.

 

The search results are highlighted and can be clicked as you move over the results.  (This has changed from previous versions where fields were hyperlinks and could be clicked).

 

The “Find an Existing Value” and “Add a New Value” tabs have changed to a new toggle format.

The “Back Button” has changed to a new format.

The tab folder view has changed.  The tabs are highlighted as you move over them.

  • The search functionality has been enhanced on some search pages to include Recent Searches and Saved Searches
  • After the upgrade, previous Saved Searches will no longer be available (except on the v.3 ePAR pages in HR).  New Saved Searches must be created.

New Features you will notice:

  • The total number of search results will be displayed.   
  • The first 10 search results will be displayed as default.  This can be changed to view 100 (by Clicking View 100).

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Request Help Tile added for quick access to Help.unc.edu

 

 

New Faculty Portal Home Page (available only to Faculty).

The page is now divided into sections, to group functionality.  New tiles are also available.
