MASTER – Scheduled ConnectCarolina System Outage
ConnectCarolina System Outage
[ConnectCarolina will be offline for routine maintenance on Saturday, July 24 from 7:00am until 3:00pm.] This impacts all ConnectCarolina applications. Additionally, you won’t be able to create Onyens and Guest IDs or change passwords during this time.]
All of the applications that you access through the portal will be unavailable. The portal is the webpage that you usually see after you click the button Login to ConnectCarolina & InfoPorte.
This outage affects Finance, HR/Payroll and Student Admin components of ConnectCarolina. This means campus users will not have access to ConnectCarolina and any other systems accessed through the Student portal and Faculty/Staff/Affiliates portal during this time.
These companion systems will not be available during the outage:
- COVID-19 Daily Wellness Check
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certification
- Web Travel
- Unit Accounting System (UAS)
- Vendor Invoice Submission Page (VISP)
- Customer Billing Management (CBM) and Bill Presentation
- External App – Admissions Enrollment Deposits (by applicants)
- P-Card – do not include unless specifically requested. Check
- ImageNow Document Management system – do not include unless specifically requested. Check
Other Systems Affected by a ConnectCarolina System Outage
TIM and Viewing Paychecks
- Faculty, staff and student employees will not be able to use the Self-Service functions such as View Paycheck during the outage.
- The TIM system will be available, but you will not be able to access it using the link in ConnectCarolina. If you need to use TIM during the outage, go to https://unctim.unc.edu/employee.
W-2/W-2c Forms
- W-2 forms cannot be accessed during the outage.
Other Systems Affected by a ConnectCarolina System Outage

- Queries, BI Publisher and Envision Reports cannot be accessed at this time due to the outage.
- InfoPorte is not affected by this outage
During the outage, you will not be able to:
- Create or change an Onyen or Guest ID or change your password
- Update your listing in the online directory to include emergency contact and phone number for Alert Carolina
- PID Create
- PID Inquiry
During the outage, you will not be able to access the following:
- CPPSReg – Credit Program Registration
- PDEPReg – Professional Development Registration
- CEU – Continuing Education Units
- FCCPS -Friday Center Central Processing
PeopleAdmin and LawLogix
- Companion systems such as PeopleAdmin and LawLogix will be available, but they will not be able to pull information from or send information to ConnectCarolina until the upgrade is complete.
Benefits Information is Available
- You can still view your benefit information. When you attempt to sign in to ConnectCarolina, the system will show you a message with an alternate link to access the BenefitFocus website.
- Web Travel
- P-Card
- Unit Accounting System (UAS)
- Vendor Invoice Submission Page (VISP)
- Customer Billing Management (CBM) and Bill Presentation
- Admissions Enrollment Deposits (by applicants)
The ConnectCarolina Student Center will be down.
These companion systems will not be available during the outage:
- TouchNet (students and third party authorized users cannot pay bills; applicants cannot pay enrollment deposits)
- Parent proxies to view student data
- The CarolinaGO mobile app
- Other external vendor sites such as Credentials, Coursicle, CollegeScheduler will also be down during this outage.
- UNC Online Applications for admissions (Summer School, Nursing, Part-time Studies, etc.)
- Proxy and Authorized Users (third party) Creation and Access
Students will not be able to access or use ConnectCarolina during this outage for any student action such as viewing class schedules or updating personal information. The ConnectCarolinaGO mobile app will also be down during the outage.
