*NEW* Student Center

*NEW* Student Center: This is the first/early release in a phased rollout that offers students an updated, intuitive mobile-friendly interface to perform several tasks, including:

  • Register for classes – add, drop, and swap classes
  • View Tar Heel Tracker – students can quickly see their degree progress, search for classes that meet degree requirements, and register
  • View grades *
  • Submit pass/fail requests (undergraduate students only) *
  • Pay Bills *
  • Review holds
  • Apply for graduation

*These functions are only available to students.

 

With the *NEW* Student Center, you now have an option to “Act as User (Coming Soon)” enabling you to view some of the items that students see in real-time, such as items in the Academic Menu.  As this is an early release, some features are still being enhanced.

 

Student Center: ​​The current version hasn’t changed.  it will be available to students in case they can’t find something in a hurry.

To Do Lists – Students will use the current version of the Student Center to view their To Do Lists until they are available in the *NEW* Student Center.

If you currently use Student Services Ctr (Student) or Advisee Student Center, this has not changed; you can continue to use these pages to support students.

When you first navigate to the New Student Center, your menu reflects the items tied to your specific role and access.

 

Click the Lookup Student Menu Option (Near the bottom of the menu)

 

Lookup Student by Name, PID, or Email Address

 

Highlight Student, Select “Act As User“.to impersonate this student

Review and Acknowledge the FERPA message.

 

When you click Continue, notice that you land on the student’s dashboard page, the menu changes, and a yellow banner shows information about the student you’re impersonating.

  • Note: you will not be able to view all of the same pages that students can access. Check out the available resources for Student Support to learn more about the students’ new user- and mobile-friendly interface.

When you have finished impersonating this student, Click the “Exit” Button.

  • Notice that you land back on your dashboard page, the menu changes to reflect your access, and there is no yellow banner – you’re back to your own menu

The Admin WorkCenter of ConnectCarolina, select the *NEW* Student Center Tile.

Navigating via NavBar:  Menu > Student Admin Menu > New Student Center > Campus Experience > Dashboard
