Class Search

Navigation: Class information > Class Search

The Course Catalog and Class Search tools are now housed together under Class Information. Need more guidance for classes that satisfy your degree requirements? Visit the Tar Heel Tracker section for complete steps!  

Enrollment

All your enrollment transaction needs are located under the Enrollment folder.   

• Add a Class to Shopping Cart

  • Enrollment > Shopping Cart > Add Class > Class Search
    • Complete the search criteria fields to find your desired courses.
    • After selecting a class section, you can add it to your Shopping Cart. 

• Enroll in a Class

  • Enrollment > Shopping Cart > Enroll 
    • Select the class(es) you want to attempt enrollment then click Enroll. 

• Drop a Class

  • Enrollment > Drop Classes > Drop 
    • Select the class(es) you want to drop from your schedule then click Drop.

• Swap Classes

  • Enrollment > Swap Classes > Swap this Class 
    • Select the class you want to remove from your schedule and which to add in its place from the dropdown menu.  

• Edit Enrollment

  • Enrollment > Edit Enrollment > Edit 
    • Select the class you want to edit and follow the next steps.  in the example below, the student is changing their recitation section.

• Waitlist

  • Join A Waitlist

    • Enrollment > Shopping Cart >Add Class
      • When adding a class to your shopping cart, select “Wait list if class is Full”.

  • Swap to Waitlist

    • Choose the class you would like to drop from your schedule if enrolled from the waitlist when you are adding the class to your Shopping Cart. In the example below, RUSS 102 will be dropped if the student is enrolled into COMP 210 from the waitlist.  

• • View Waitlist Position(s)

    • Enrollment > View Wait List 
      • Your waitlist position is in the final column of the course row.

Now complete with a visual representation of your degree progress, your Tar Heel Tracker presents a detailed status of your major/minor requirements. As a bonus, you can view and enroll in courses to fulfill unsatisfied requirements directly from your tracker!

• Academics > Tar Heel Tracker 

• Course Selection for Degree Requirements

  • Selecting a category, such as your Minor, will display all requirements both satisfied and not satisfied.  
    • Click “View Courses” in requirements not satisfied for a list of eligible courses.  

Submit your graduation application through the Academics folder.  

• Apply to Graduate
  • Academics > Apply for Graduation/Cert 

• View your grades
  • Academics > Grades 
• Submit a pass/fail request (Undergrad Only)
  • Academics > Undergraduate Pass/Fail

Appeal for Academic Probation

• Academics > Submit an Eligibility Appeal

Appeal for Financial Aid Probation

• Financial Aid> Submit an Eligibility Appeal

Navigate to the Financials tab of your dashboard for a quick summary of any outstanding bills or payment history. More information can be found under the Student Accounts and Financial Aid folders.  

Your To Do List is not currently visible in the *NEW* Student Center. Please click Return to HomePage, select the Student Center tile and view items in the To Do List area.

Proxy user setup and access will NOT be available in the *NEW* Student Center. Continue to utilize the Student Center (not the *NEW* Student Center) for setting up proxy access.
