ConnectCarolina System Outage .
As part of the ConnectCarolina Makeover, ConnectCarolina will be unavailable beginning Friday, May 17 at 5:00 pm through Monday, May 20 at 7:00 am. (The Ad-hoc Queries (RPT)environment for will not be available until Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 7:00 am.) All of the applications that you access through the portal will be unavailable. The portal is the webpage that you usually see after you click on the green buttons: Login to ConnectCarolina Student Center or Login to ConnectCarolina and InfoPorte (Faculty, staff & alumni)
This outage affects Finance, HR/Payroll and Student Admin components of ConnectCarolina. This means campus users will not have access to ConnectCarolina and any other systems accessed through the Student portal and Faculty/Staff/Affiliates portal during this time.
These companion systems will not be available during the outage:
- Web Travel
- P-Card
- Unit Accounting System (UAS)
- Vendor Invoice Submission Page (VISP)
- Customer Billing Management (CBM) and Bill Presentation
- Admissions Enrollment Deposits (by applicants)
Other Systems Affected by a ConnectCarolina System Outage
ePro Ordering
- ePro orders cannot be placed or changed during the outage since they are part of the ConnectCarolina Finance system.
- For Airgas:
If you need to place an Airgas order after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, email ANWMorrisvilleAdministration@airgas.com. Airgas will handle the orders over the outage period and work through the technical process after ConnectCarolina is back up and running. Customer Service Number: 919-544-9699 (After hours calls, holidays and weekends are automatically routed through a live person call center who contacts operations staff and 24/7 on-call drivers). - For Arc3 Gases:

BuyCarolina Ordering
- BuyCarolina orders cannot be placed or changed during the outage since they are part of the ConnectCarolina Finance system.
- P-Card will still be accessible through Works.
- Airgas orders can be placed by emailing ANWMorrisvilleAdministration@airgas.com, which is routed to Rasha Jaber (919-544-3772 ext 311) or Jason Newhouse (919-544-3772 ext. 312). You can also call Ben Martin, Account Representative, 919-812-2798. Airgas will handle the orders over the outage period and work through the technical process after Connect Carolina is back up and running.
- ARC3 orders can be placed with Michael Banks, Account Representative, michael.banks@arc3gases.com, 336-690-9541 or call customer service at 919-682-4527.
TIM and Viewing Paychecks
- Faculty, staff and student employees will not be able to use the Self-Service functions such as View Paycheck during the outage.
- The TIM system will be available, but you will not be able to access it using the link in ConnectCarolina. If you need to use TIM during the outage, go to https://unctim.unc.edu/employee.
W-2/W-2c Forms
- W-2 forms cannot be accessed during the outage.
Other Systems Affected by a ConnectCarolina System Outage
- Queries, BI Publisher and Envision Reports cannot be accessed at this time due to the outage.
During the outage, you will not be able to:
- Create or change an Onyen or Guest ID or change your password
- Update your listing in the online directory to include emergency contact and phone number for Alert Carolina
- PID Create
- PID Inquiry
- CPPSReg – Credit Program Registration
- PDEPReg – Professional Development Registration
- CEU – Continuing Education Units
- FCCPS -Friday Center Central Processing
Companion systems such as PeopleAdmin and LawLogix are [will be] available, but they are [will not be] able to pull information from or send information to ConnectCarolina until the upgrade is complete.

The ConnectCarolina Student Center will be down.

- Other external vendor sites such as Credentials, Coursicle, CollegeScheduler will also be down during this outage.
- UNC Online Applications for admissions (Summer School, Nursing, Part-time Studies, etc.)
- Proxy and Authorized Users (third party) Creation and Access
Students will not be able to access or use ConnectCarolina during this outage for any student action such as viewing class schedules or updating personal information. The ConnectCarolinaGO mobile app will also be down during the outage.
