The Executive Sponsors will focus on the following areas:
  • Providing executive leadership and supporting the cultural change necessary for the project
  • Providing strategic direction and advising the key stakeholders of relevant university or external issues which may have an impact on the project
  • Making strategic project decisions
  • Reviewing project status and deliverables
  • Communicating project status at a senior level (e.g., Deans’ Council, Faculty Council and its Executive Committee, Vice Chancellors, Chancellor’s Cabinet, Executive Branch of Student Government)
  • Promoting the project to the campus community
It is anticipated that the Executive Sponsors may have to participate in the handling of issues pertaining to the following:
  • Managing change in a manner that is consistent with the “University culture”
  • Aligning the objectives of the project with the University’s strategic objectives
  • Defining the respective roles and responsibilities of colleges, departments and central administration
  • Ensuring Integration of new administrative systems into the business process infrastructure of the University, i.e. ensuring use of new administrative system functionality to replace duplicative system functionality to the greatest extent possible
