It’s Time To Do The 2-Step

If you use any part of ConnectCarolina except SelfService, then starting May 23, you’ll be required to use 2-Step/Duo to access ConnectCarolina. That means if you enter grades, submit ePARs, conduct performance evaluations, buy from the vendor catalogs, or any other transaction beyond those on the SelfService menu, you’ll need to verify with 2-Step/Duo to get in to ConnectCarolina.

To keep sensitive information safe, the University uses a security method called 2-Step Verification. With this method, you verify that “you’re you” before you see certain sensitive information. Enrolling in 2-Step takes just 10 minutes and helps keep you and UNC secure.

Purchasing Categories Reduced by More Than 50,000

If part of your day includes entering purchase requisitions or vouchers, you’re familiar with having to enter a category code for each item you are buying or paying for. The categories help the University track spending and negotiate better pricing, but it was difficult and time-consuming to choose the correct category from a list of 55,000 choices.
